Pre-fill TM

1 - Pre-Fill Phase - To configure the pre-fill phase you need to select the pre-fill box as illustrated.
2 - Settings - The settings section will allow you to change the name of the Pre-fill phase and provide a description of preferred. You also have the choice of including the Pre-fill into the overall progress % for the document and project. By default this is set to no due to Pre-fill being an automatic process and not requiring any manual work.
3 - Rules - Each phase type has some specific rules pre-configured. These rules and any custom rules can be found within this section. All of these rules can be changed or removed to fit what you need.
4 - Add Rule - As mentioned you can add new rules on your phase. To add a new rule you select the Add Rule button.
Notice that the first rule in a Pre-Fill phase states:
When phase starts, then Pre-fill TM (Nothing selected).
This phase will always need to be configured before your Pre-Fill will work correctly. To configure this rule you need to hover over the rule and select the Edit button on the right hand side.

After selecting the Edit button you will need to.
Click the Pre-fill TM icon to edit the settings for the Pre-fill phase.
Enter a description (optional)
Select whether to include the progress % for this phase in the overall progress percentage.
Edit the Pre-fill TM rule to indicate which vault to pre-fill from. Hover your mouse over a rule to display the Remove and Edit buttons. Click the Edit button.
Enter a name for the pre-fill report (the report can be accessed later when viewing the project, under the TM Statistics tab).
Check the box next to “Search Glossaries for Exact Matches” to select glossaries to pre-fill from. Drag the glossary selection from the left to the right pane.
Check the box next to the vault name if you want to lock segments pre-filled with exact matches. This allows you to prevent the pre-filled value from being modified in a subsequent phase.
Check the box next to “Search TM Vaults” to select vaults to pre-fill from. Drag the vault selection from the left to the right pane.
With TM Vaults, you can choose to pre-fill with Exact matches or with matches that reach a certain threshold percent. To enter a percent, click the radial button next to the percent box and enter the value.
You can also choose to lock segments from this vault. The lock will only apply to Exact matches, not matches meeting the percent threshold.
Click the Save button to save the pre-fill rule.
The system displays the new rule.
Click the Machine Translate icon, then click the Edit button next to the last rule to add a Machine Translation engine.
Select an MT Engine to use for machine translation. Click the Save button to save the rule.
Note: demo communities do not have any MT engines pre-installed. However, you enable MT engines and enter any account information required under Community Maintenance > Customization > Machine Translation Engines.
Click the Translate icon to edit the Translate Phase. Select one of the three phase types:
- Assignment: the PM assigns the document. The assignment can be to one user, to multiple users or to a team.
- Self Assignment: lets translators choose which documents to work on, and then the system assigns that translator to the document.
- Community: lets translators choose which document to work on, and lets multiple translators translate a document at the same time.
Click the Review icon to edit the Review phase. Select one of the three phase types.
Click the Save button to save the workflow.
