Steps to submit a help ticket:

1. Navigate to our request form to start a help ticket.
2. Fill out the form with your information. Please enter the email address associated with your ID.me account.
3. Type a subject that describes your situation. Do your best to keep your response short. If you are experiencing an error, you can enter the error code number here. Our ticket system will suggest help articles based on your response. Please review the suggested articles before submitting your ticket.
4. Select the "How can we help you?" dropdown menu. Select I Need Help Getting Verified in the “How can we help you?” dropdown menu.
5. Select the "Where do you need to be verified?" dropdown menu. Select Department of Veterans Affairs so that the ID.me Member Support team knows you are trying to verify your identity with Veterans Affairs.
6. Select the "What part of the process are you in?" dropdown menu. Select the option that best describes your situation.
7. Add a description of the issue you’re running into. Be sure to include as many relevant details as possible.
8. Select the check box under "Verify My Email" to confirm that the email you entered is your own.
9. Include relevant attachments. If you have a screenshot, video, or file that adds context to your issue, please include it by selecting Add file.
10. Select Submit. An ID.me Member Support Representative will reach out to you via email to help resolve your issue.

Steps to access live chat:

1. Select the blue icon at the bottom right corner of this page to open Roy, the ID.me Chatbot.
2. Enter your email address and name in the pop-up screen. Please be sure to enter the email address associated with your ID.me account.
3. Select VA.gov or AccessVA from the automated message.
4. Select from the available option(s) to find the answer to your question.
5. If Roy is unable to answer your question, select Help to connect with a live ID.me agent.
